Download 2000 Hyundai Elantra Driver Side Window Replacement – Instructions a. Open the driver’s door of the Elantra and sit in the driver’s seat. Insert the ignition key into the ignition, and turn the key to the “II” or accessories position. Roll the drivers window down about one quarter to halfway down. Turn the key off and remove the key from the ignition for safety. b. Remove the power window switch from the door by using a flat head screwdriver to pry the front of the switch out first. Pull the switch out by hand. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the switch panel by hand. Remove the screw from the center of the inside door handle bezel, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the handle bezel from the door panel. Remove the three screws from the bottom of the door panel, and pull the door panel outward at the bottom to release the plastic body clips. c. Pull the entire door panel upward and toward your body from inside the door, to free the panel from the door frame completely. Hold the door panel in your left hand, toward the middle of the panel lengthwise. Reach around the rear of the door panel in the front, and pull the speaker connector from the door speaker. Remove the door panel completely and set it outside of your work area.
